The location is the standard FLHT LOWER FAIRING used for storage. I bought a lovable door through eglidegoodirs and drilled a hole into it. There is ample room. Took me about 30 minutes to remove the door, drill the hole and install the gauge. It did take me about 30 minutes to wire the gauge prior because I used shrink tube and ensured there would be no problems. This included testing the gauge and sensor. I wired the sensing and ground and HD wired the positive wire for me since I had to get work done on it anyway. Looks great, orange glow from light is awsome and it liminated engine heT on the gauge. |
Marlin, You requested a photo.I got carried away. Some may prefer a guage face that more closely matches the inferior Harley guages. As I'm 68 years old and don't wear my reading glasses while riding I prefer the superior glass and bold easier to see numbers of the guage you sent me .I've been a dedicated harley rider for 46 years and I associate with hundreds of riders in and out of clubs up here. In the spring when I start circulating I'm sure you'll be sending more of these great dual function gauges up here. |
